The YY Westie is a social West Coast Swing initiative. It is a home to everyone who loves this beautiful partner dance. This portal covers international events and local communities around the world and focuses on the most important thing – the people who dance WCS.

The YY Westie was established by Yuval Yaary, an Israeli entrepreneur and a West Coast Swing addict. Dancing hasn’t been part of his life until he discovered WCS when he was 28, but it was love at first sight. Even when he decided to leave Israel and look for a new home, he knew WCS will be the one thing in his life he wants to keep. Therefore, the Viennese WCS community played a key role in his decision to settle in the capital city of Austria.

“I came up with the idea of the YY Westie just before I left Israel, but I wasn’t sure where to start,” said Yuval. “I went on a Euro-swing-trip and shared my experiences and thoughts on Facebook. I noticed people started following me, and then a friend of mine suggested that I write a blog. I did it, and at some point, another friend gave me the idea of conducting interviews. The YY Westie became one of the greatest adventures of my life, and I’m curious to see where it takes me next”.
